Never Forgetting ...

I have been through a lot in my life and I know I am not the only one who has been through some STUFF...10 years ago today our nation was shaken by terrorist attacks.  It amazes me how in spite of all our differences in the United States of America we can come together as one and truly take care of each other. What is even more amazing is that we are the only nation who puts human life above all else...Now I know it doesn't sound like us with the way things have been going these days..Yet deep down within us all are hearts of love, compassion, consideration, understanding, and the list could go on and on. On September 11, 2001 no one cared about skin color which is a problem we still struggle with today...not as bad but it still exist. There is still a select few out there that uses a person's skin color against them...How silly right?? Cause a person is not their skin color. No one cared how a person was dressed or even if they were wearing clothes on that day. All we cared about was, were there any survivors under the rubble? The images on the TV screen...I can still remember them...I mean really who could forget it? I can even remember what I was thinking...Which means it was impacting and life changing. U may say u weren't there, u didn't go through it, let it go, it is done and over..If your thinking that or even want 2 say it well all I can say is REALLY??? I remember the days of news coverage...you know one of the few times u were actually thankful for the media because it kept us all posted on how things were coming along??  Wow the lives lost on that day. The attack itself it went from being an attack on our nation 2 personal 4 me...The reason I say it became personal is because, I couldn't even imagine waiting 2 know if one of my loved ones were in the midst of a mess I had no idea existed!! How unfair?? Or every time I think of it I remember us being the nation that is first 2 lend a helping hand 2 those in need...feeding the hungry, repairing governments, saving lives, standing by other nations...U would think that they would be grateful 4 us rather then hate on us...Gotta love passion...Not all passion is good though...Cause the passion that was put forth 2 attack our nation and take live prematurely was not good! However the passion that we took in our defense, now that was GOOD Passion. It changed lives. some 4 the good and 4 some not so good..I know people can take our freedom 4 granted these days...but the ones that do so have forgotten that our Freedom is not FREE! it never has been.  Blood has repeatedly been shed so "We The People Of The United States" can enjoy the luxuries we have today.  I can't speak 4 everyone in our nation..But I can speak out for me...I am proud 2 be an American...not just because I am free, but for so much more then that...We care about each other! some of us out there just don't know it yet... They are the ones who would be considered our babies that need 2 grow up...I'm not meaning just the young who haven't experienced life but some of our adults out there are babies 2...Like I said they just don't know it...I think of the courage of the men and women who made a life changing decision 2 destroy the terrorist plan of attack on us...they gave their lives so that I can sit here and blog 2 u today, still be a mother 2 my kids, go shopping when I want, and just go and do as I please.. Forget it u say?? Never! I refuse 2 do so...2 much has been sacrificed 4 me....And I am forever grateful for the men and women who given their lives  so that I can wear what I want, eat what I want, and do what I want. There is no greater gift they could have given me other then Freedom...Money can't purchase it, Looks can't win it, Sex can't do it, and Talking it over well that didn't work either... Every cause worth fighting 4 has always come through BLOOD SHED...2 me human life is so precious...it is a gift that can't be replaced...every person is so unique, significant, and irreplaceable that there isn't a duplicate of any of us...We may not all get along or agree with each other on every thing. but let's all agree on this NEVER FORGETTING our freedom has come with a price that many aren't willing 2 pay...so today take a minute and just remember what we have lost as a nation. Then look at u as an individual and ask yourself would u have paid the price that has been paid 4 our freedom? I am Never Forgetting what we lost as a nation on this day!
