A Passion For You Like No Other

A few days ago I watched the Passion of Christ by Mel Gibson. If you haven't taken the time to watch it.... What better time to do so then now? No other film has measured up to the true reality of the Cross. Every time I watch it I am still shocked at how it all played out and lead up to Jesus' death. What gets me even more is how well God knows each and every one of us. Even still to this day we in our humanness still have the ability to crucify a person...We can love a person one season and hate them the next just like they did Jesus' years ago.  History always seem to repeat itself.....As I watched, again I saw how "death and life are in the power of the tongue...." (Proverbs 18:21). And how peoples misconception of who a person is can cost them their life...I also saw how envy and jealousy can take root and manifest into chaos or dare I say our reality? Jesus knew no sin and He did no wrong but out of the mouths of "false" witnesses He was condemned to death.  I tried to imagine what it would feel like to have everyone you love completely abandon you... I can't even imagine it... Don't get me wrong I have had people walk out of my life, reject, and abandon me. Just not in the magnitude of suffering  that Jesus' did.  I already know that no one compares or even measures up to Him.. At least not in my heart....I have been mistreated, talked about, lied on, and even cheated out of a lot in life...But I've never been brutally beaten in front of thousands, nor have I been humiliated in such magnitude...(but I have been humiliated). Some out there say all roads lead to God....While Jesus the one who suffered for us the most tells us He is the only way (John 14:6) No one else gave their life for my soul...It's almost irritating that we in our humanness can sometimes give up before a battle has even begun... But we are considered innocent until proven guilty right? They had no proof with Jesus but He was still found guilty...  I know I have been guilty of a few things haven't you? ...Yes every time I watch this film I see myself and my need for a SAVIOR....How about you? Has anyone else willingly died for your soul? Something to think on this Easter... For Jesus has A Passion For You Like No Other!
