Expectations...We All Have Them

Expectations, we all have them. Whether they are so high everyone notices them or so low no one knows
they exists...They are there.
After years of disappointing people and being disappointed by people I have come to a place of balance in my
life. God gives each and every person free will. So who am I to tie someone down with what I expect of them? I have
learned that the higher the expectation is on a person the more they run from it. Yet when you have no
expectation on them at all, they run a muck with no guidance or direction...because they have no vision in life.
So where is my balance you may ask? Let's just say I expect people to treat me like they would like to be treated.
Now I must warn you living this way can be very dangerous! You never know when someone is going to cross that
thin line between love and hate...meaning you just never know when you will be persecuted, lied on, accused, lied to,
heartbroken, betrayed...cause grace of course doesn't look for the bad it only sees the good...However expecting others
to treat you with the same respect that they would demand of you is one sure way to practice GRACE at all times. I do
put high expectations on those I love and care about...But when I do most likely I am holding myself to the exact same
standards. Rarely do I encourage others to do something that I myself won't do...If I encourage you to do better with
your life, I am right with you doing it as well, when I encourage you to get out of the pit I am most likely crawling out of
a pit or I've just gotten out of one...I don't think more of myself then I ought to but I also don't think to low of myself
either.....because I am fearfully and wonderfully made...God just didn't make a mistake when He created me.... I won't
tell you that practicing grace with people is always a pleasant experience. I will tell you this: I have one EXPECTATION.
I expect you to treat me how you would like to be treated...After all most people wouldn't think of mistreating themselves.
So I ask you all out there What are your expectations???? we all have them
